Drunk ex-mayor leads cops on chase before crashing into parked tow truck

A former mayor of a small town in Ohio💦 drunkenly led cops on a high-speed chase — and told them “what♋ you’re doing is wrong” as she tried to flaunt her former position to avoid arrest.

Cathy ওLuks, who served as the mayor of North Royalton from 1999 to 2007, was pulled over after cops noticed she was driving with an expired license plate on Wednesday afternoon.

When an officer caught up with her, the 66-year-old ൩seemed dazed and confused — and ref꧋used to cooperate, body camera footage released by the Parma Police Department shows.

In the footage, an officer could be seen approa🏅ching Luks’ vehiclꦆe at an intersection.

He asks the former mayor, “Can we pull into this parking🐈 lot?” to which she replies, “N🐟o.”

The cop then tries to explain to Luks that he pulled her over “because you ꦗwere going 43 [mph] in a 25 [mph] zone.”

“Do you have a license with you?” he proceeds to ask Luks, 🎀who again replies, “No.”

At that point, the officer asks her where her driver’s license is, to which she once again simply replies, “No♈.”

Finally, he asks Luks if she can pull her car into a local pa💎rk, to which she says, “OK, sure.”

She appꦉears to be looking for the gearshift, when she rolls up her windows and speeds off, leaving the officer behind.

The cop then had to run back to his patrol car, where h♎e turned on the lights and siren, and followed Luks throꦡugh the suburban neighborhood — reporting at one point she was driving as fast as 65 mph.

But just about 30 seconds later, the cop was able to catch up with Luks after she lost con🅠trol of her vܫehicle, jumped a curb and crashed into a tow truck that was parked at an auto shop,

The cop could then be seen in the footage pulli♔ng Luks, who still seemed confused, out of her car.

He tried to get her to sit in the back of♉ a patrol car, but she refused — constantly asking for her “stuff back.”

At one point, she also asks💛 the officer, “What’s this?” to which he replies, “Handcuffs.”

“What?” he asks incredulously. “Do you not remembeꦇr taking꧒ off?”

Apparently beginning to understand what🐲 is happening, Luks decides to tout her former leadership role.

“What you are doing is wrong, let me tell you hoജw it works,” she tells the cop. “You know what, I was the mayor of the city of North Royalton.

“I have been so f–ing used by men, so used,” she says, prompting another cop who arrived to turn to the officer whose body camera was🌸 filming the incident with a quizzical look on his face.

Luks is chargeꦅd with operating a vehicle while intoxi🐓cated, speeding, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving with expired license plates.

She has not yet entered a plea.

The case is expecte꧒d to be turned over to a grand jury, which will determine whether Luks should also face a felony charge of failure to comply.
