Alleged Ukrainian plot to kill 77 Russian pilots with poisoned cake and whiskey foiled

An audacious plot allegedly concocted by Ukrainian intelligence operatives to wiped o𝄹ut dozens of Russian pജilots with poisoned cake and whiskey was foiled at the last minute, according to a report.

The incident took place Saturday at the Armavir Higher Military Aviation School in Russia’s Krasnodar region.

The elite flight school located in the city of Armavir was hosting a✅ banquet in honor 🧸of its alumni who graduated from the institution 20 years ago.

There were 77 guests at the party, among them active-duty pilots holding senior ranks in Russia’s air force,

In the middle of the festivities, a deliveryman showed up carrying an enormous cake weighing more than 44 pounds and several cases of Jameson Irish Whiskey, all courtesy of the flight school’s unknown “grateful admirers,” the report stated.

While✅ the gargantuan two-tier cake was being sliced, the much-impressed alumni busied themselves with taking selfies and posting words of thanks in their private chat groups.

At the same time, everyone at the party began trying to find out who had sent the🌌 offerings.

An official at the academy i✅n charge of security pulled a screenshot of the deliveryman from the CCTV video, who was subsequen𒀰tly identified as 32-year-old Egor Semenov, a native of the occupied Ukrainian city of Melitopol.

The suspec💫t was said to have raced to the Stavropol airport to purchase a plane ticket꧑ to Moscow, but his escape plan was thwarted by local authorities who detained him,

Under questioning💦, Semenov allegedly admitted to bringing the cake and bottles of alcohol laced with a potent poison.

Semenov has lived in Russia since 2017ꦆ. He has a young child and makes a living installing intercoms, according to loca♓l reports.

So far, the 32-yea🎃r-old has been jai꧑led for 15 days on a preliminary count of disorderly conduct.

Authorities in Armavir were said to be looking for the local bakers who created the deadly dessert, which was decorated with the aviation school’s emblem.

The Telegram channel that first reported the💧 inciden♓t, which is run by a retired fighter pilot, blamed the botched poisoning on the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, known as GUR.

“By pure chance and thanks to the conscientiousness of the officers who put the anonymous cake and booze aside, no one had time to foolishly eat the cake or taste the booze,” said the channel.‌ “It would have been a catastrophe. 77 guests.”

“But everybody is alive. GUR totally failed. And that is good,” the author g𒀰loated.
