Rashida Tlaib slammed for defending call for genocide against the Jewish people
Rep⛦. Rashida Tliab came in for ferocious criticism online after publicly defending those chanting for genocide against the Jewish people.
Tliab, far-left squad member and the first Palestinian ever elected to Congress, , “From the River to the sea Palestine will be free” was in fact “an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence”
The line — a favorite of Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists — is widely understood as a hateful and antisemiticꦬ call for the elimination of the state of Israel in its current form between the Jord𒐪an River to the Mediterranean Sea,
The American-Israeli Publi🌠c Affairs Committee the phrase reflects a literal call for genocide against Jewish people.
Tlaib’s defense came after she posted a video featuring the phrase — which also condemned President Biden for supporting Israeli genocide agains♌t the Palesꦓtinians.
The backlash against Tlaib on X was fierce.
“Hamas sympathizers have infiltrated the halls of Congress,” , Israel’s former Special Envoy for Combating Antisemitism.
” ‘From the river to the sea’ is a chant that has been championed by fundamentalist Islamist terrorists for years, and it calls for ethnically cleansing the Jews from their ancestral land.”
Actor Dean Cain called Tliab “dead wrong” and “a disgrace.”
“It is a call to genocide. Genocide of the Jewish people, and an end to Israel. You are endorsing terrorism,”
Criticism also came from Tlaib’s House colleagues.
“‘From the river to the sea’ is a rallying call for the erasing of the State of Israel. If that’s aspirational to you, that’s a problem. Stand With Israel,” (R-Fla.).
