An off-duty NYPD cop shot a 42-year-old man in the arm in a Bronx furniture store Thurs💎day afternoon after the two got into a heated dispute, police and sources said.
The 30-ღ𒀰year-old cop was shopping in the Hollywood Touch of Class store at 4062 White Plains Road in Wakefield when the man walked in and started an argument just after 3 p.m., according to the NYPD and sources.
He then “started to charge” at the off-duty officer, the sources said.
The cop ordered him to stay๊ back but he was ignored — leading the officer 🌱to shoot him once in the left forearm, the source told The Post.
Witness Ryan Willis saw the “jacked up” gunshot victim before he entered the store and said he reeked of booze.
“He was drinking, his behavior was off,” Willis told The Post.
“He wasn’t saying much. He was rocking back and forth,” he said, referring to his behavior before the shooting.
The wounded man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in st💃able condition⛦, police said.
The NYPD’s Force Investigation Division is investigating the shooting, authorities said at a Thursday evening brief press conference near the scene.
