Michael Jordan’s Super Bowl bet came with warning for Julian Edelman: ‘Don’t f–k it up’

Yet another story ab🐻out Michael Jordan’s legendary sports betting habits has emerged.

On his “Games With Names” podcast, former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman shed light on a hilarious interaction with the NBA legend ahead of Super Bowl 49 in 2015 against the Seattle Seahawks.

“The week before Super Bowl 2014, I took my folks to dinner, and I roll up, and I see Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan. I was super starstruck,” Edelman said during the episode. “I’m about to play in the Super Bowl, and I go up, and you can tell Jeter is a very charming guy, welcoming. ‘Mr. Jeter, Julian Edelman, I’m playing in the Super Bowl.’”

“I saw Jordan. He was kind of, like, standoffish a little bit. And as soon as the conversation’s about to end, like five minutes in, I’m about to leave, Jordan comes up to me. He goes, ‘Hey kid, I got a bunch of money on you. Don’t f–k it up.’ And that’s the only thing he said to me.”

✤Edelman and New England would come through for Jordan.

The Patriots beat the Seah❀awks 28-24, coming back from 10 points down to win the fourth Super Bowl of the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era.

Edelman himself played a great game, catching nine passes for 109 yards, including a touchdown with under two minutes left to win the game for New England, presumably hel⛎ping the basketball GOAT to a massive payout.
