Beauty-queen lawyer Tania Alessi Marín Cruz dies in Mexico car crash

Tania A💜lessi Marín Cruz, 27, hit the pole on the side of the Mexico-Pachuca highway near Matilda around 6 a.m., causing her car to flip, .
Cruz, a law school graduate, had represented ꦛher state of Hidalgo at the 2023 Mexicana Universal beauty pageant.
The state’s attorney general’s office issued a statement confirming the death of Cruz, a public ministry agent who worked for its litigation delegation.
“We sympathize with the family, and friends of our colleague Tania Alessi Marín Cruz, we hope that in these difficult moments, they find the peace and comfort necessary to overcome their loss. Rest in peace,” Hidalgo officials wrote.
In addition to her modeling and legal work, Cruz participated in local social work and championed awareness campaigns against🌠 breast cancer.
“I am passionate about my work as I can listen to people and be an instrument of help and an agent of change,” one of her last Instagram posts read.
“My greatest inspiration is my aunt, who is a warrior who defeated breast cancer, and I experienced this process with her🔜 up close.”
After Cruz’s passing, her accounts were flooded with memorials.
“Alessi… like few others, you have left your mark! The light and love that you gave us will remain forever in our hearts. Fly hig♛h,” Mexicana Universal Hidalgo wrote on her Facebook page.
