The week in whoppers: Joy Reid tars the GOP as racist again, John Kerry credits Biden despite world’s wars

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions

This prediction:

“[Haley’s] a brown lady that’s got to try to win in a party that is deeply anti-immigrant . . . I don’t see how she becomes the nominee of that party.”

— MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Monday

We say: If you’re a hammer, everythꦏing looks like a nail — and if you’re an MSNB🐬C talking head whose shtick is “Republicans are racist,” well, “brown lady” Nikki Haley doesn’t have a shot.

Earth to Reid: Heavily Republican South Carolina (where Donald Trump beat Joe Bi🐟den 55% to 43%) elected Haley twice, and Trump himself made her his UN envoy.

Yes, Trump, not Haley, is now the GOP frontrunner, but not because Republicans dislike “brown ladies.”

This claim:

“[Biden’s] 𒁏kept us from, you know, having a complete bre♓akout of uncontrolled war.”

— Biden climate czar John Kerry, Wednesday

We say: What a sick spin! On President Biden’s watch, Russia unleashed a horriꦓfic war on Ukrai♔ne.

Hamas triggered catastrophic fighting in Gaza, with anot﷽her major conflict looming in Lebanon.

Tehran’s pr🌼oxies attack US assets ꧂in Iraq and target Red Sea shipping. Iran and Pakistan have struck each other, and China’s threatening to take Taiwan by force.

Fact is, Biden’s fear of “uncontrolled war” has emboldened belligerents and sparked much of the fighting.

With him in charge, the nightmare Kerry claims B✱iden avoided may now be just a matteꦏr of time.

This tweet:

We say: Let’s hope The Washington P🌜ost offers employees mental-health insurance, because WaPo reporter Taylor Lorenz clearly ne🌼eds help.

COVID variants are not particularly let🦄hal, in Gaza (which has far b✃igger problems) or anywhere else.

Nor are they “cooked up” by Americans who fail to “advocate for masking” (which sciencܫe has shown to be ineffective against COVID spread in any case).

This charge:

“Police officers died𒊎 . . . because of the injuries💖 that they sustained on [Jan. 6].”

— WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Tuesday

We say: Will Democrats never stop peddling that flagrant lie? No 🐎officer died in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

One passed away the next day from “natural causes,” per the medical examiner, and a few committed suici🌱de in the weeks after — but no one’s ever proven any links between those cases and 1/6.

Wasn’t the riot bad enough without Dems desperately embellishing it?
