How does FanDuel’s ‘Kick of Destiny’ with Rob Gronkowski work? FD Super Bowl promo, explained

Last year, Rob Gronkowski missed his “Kick of Destiny,” a 25-yard field goal that aired live during the Super Bowl.

FanDuel promised that if you bet $5 and Gronk made the field goal, you’d share $10,000,000 in bonus bets with all the other users who opted into the promo.

FanDuel ended up paying out the bonus be𝐆ts anyway last year, with many users getting $5 or $10 in bonus bets even though Gronk missed.

This year, FanDuel is doing it again, though it works a little differently. And they’re still offering all new customers $200 in bonus bets if their first $5 bet wins when they sign up for a new account.

  1. Log into the FanDuel Sportsbook app, or if you don’t have it.
  2. Click the Kick of Destiny icon on the homepage with your new or existing account
  3. Choose whether or not Gronk will make or miss the kick. You don’t have to bet $5 this year.
  4. Win a share of $10,000,000 if you choose the correct side. It will probably end up being somewhere between $5-$10, and maybe even less since it doesn’t require a cash bet this year.
  5. Find bonus bets in your account on Monday if you get it right.

If you’re still not signed up at FanDuel, you can get $200 in bonus bets following a $10 deposit and $5 wager on anything. FanDuel is upping its offer from $150 to $200 for the Super Bowl.

Gronkowski said after the 49ers win over the Lions on Sunday that he’s been practicing three times a week for this kick, and that he’s made about 90 percent of them.

CBS will broadcast ෴Super Bowl 2024, not Fox, where Gronk is aꦉn analyst.

The commercial is expected to air before the game this year, instead of in the second half like last year, and he’ll be kicking on a field somewhere outside Las Vegas.

He blamed last year’s miss on the wind.

“I am not one to make excuses, but if you were out here and felt this wind, you would know why I missed, and if there was no wind it would’ve went right down the middle,ඣ” Gronkowski sཧaid.
