The melee broke out around 8:30 p.m. Jan. 27 on West 42꧋nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, where an NYPD officer and a lieutenant tried to disperse a group of migrants.

One of the ဣmigrants got into a fight with the cops, before more than a dozen other men attacked the outnumbered officers, kicking and pummeling them, as seen in the video.

The cops suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scen♋e.

The decision to cut loose the suspected cop attacke🐭rs without bail has set off a firestorm of criticism.

Wilson Juarez was charged for the attack, then released.
Yorman Reveron is also a suspect.
Jhoan Boada is a suspect in the assault.

“It was a serious felony and bail should have been set,” New York state Attorney General Letitia James saiꦏd.

But Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has defended not setting a monetary bail, saying his office was still reviewing𓆏 the footage🍃 from the attack to determine the level of involvement of each participant.

“Hol🐟d the right people accountable f♕or the right conduct. This is a bedrock principle of our justice system,” Bragg said.

Kelvin Servita Arocha is one of those accused of attacking the officers.
Darwin Andres Gomez has been indicted for the assault.

Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul told re🏅porters last week that ꦑthe migrants who jumped the cops should be deported.

“Get them all and send theဣm back,” Hochul said. “You don’t to🍸uch our police officers. You don’t touch anyone.”
