Five men’s fashion tips to shop straight from Paris and Milan Fashion Week

The 2024 fall fashion shows in Milan and Paris were ful𒅌l of inspiration and motivation for the lads to step up their style game..

As a men’s celebrity♛ stylist covering the European runways, I have seen the trends come and go, but one of my favorite styling pieces that loves to circle back is statement outerwear.

I spotted several other themes, too, including the necktie no man really loves to wear, but does it anyway. Hello to the GQ men’sജ editors bringing back the trend!

The catwalks across the pond showcased layers up♏on layers of knitwear, a return of the slimmer suit, and countr𓆉y gentlemen-worthy lambswool sweaters.

Below are m🐼y Top 5 must-have winter wardrob🍃e essentials and how to style them.

1. English outerwear

English countryside🏅 outerwear walked in with swagger. A favorite was from . Theꦍ relaxed feeling of the jacket’s cut and supersized herringbone fabric made it work perfectly with skinnier trousers, chunky shoes, layered knitwear and the bag that your lady friend will want to steal.

2. Neckties

Ties are back without all of the complicated knots. They give off a nonchalant, first-real-job vibe, but in a — or maybe devil wears Prada — way. Rather than pairing the white button-dow𒈔n and neckwear with a sports jacket or suit, toss the blazer and throw on an overcoat or trench instead.

Luxury overshirts look polished, yet they’re happily easy-to-wear, too. When a little weekend comfort is needed, dressing a jacket up a la runway means combining it with a dressy trouser, denim and your🌸 favorite sweater. Available in a variety of fabrics, it’ll be the go-to piece in your cl꧋oset.

4. French Riviera Dressing

To some, French Riviera dressing might be a sartorial yachting fantasy of late 1940s leisure class, or it could be another’s favorite “Clueless” boyfriend’s Rat Pack style vibes. (Remember Christian?) Either way, the silk suiting and skinnier jacket with a relaxed trouser is one of s classic silhouettes that just feels right. We all need the occasional elegant reverie — meet you on the Côte d’Azur!
