Florida’s Micah Handlogten suffers gruesome leg injury during SEC championship game in scary scene
Florida’s Micahꦗ Handlogten suffered a grueso🃏me leg injury during the Gators’ SEC championship game against Auburn in Nashville on Sunday.
The team confirmed that Handlogten suf🌞fered a fractured lower leg, and the sound♛ of the snap could be heard from people near the court.
The🎃 7-foot-1 sophomoꦓre center had to be stretchered off the court after an air cast was put on. He was later sent to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The injury occurred when Handlogten was trying to grab ♉a rebound early in the g🥃ame.
He immediately went down and blood could be seen on his leg, a sign that bone may have broken th꧒rough the skin.
Handlogten’s mother came෴ down on the court and the Florida team came over to him as he was placed on the stretcher.
He left the court to an ovation from the Auburn players and coaches, as well as the crowd at Bridgestone Ar✅ena in Nashville, Tenn.
Handlogten, who transferred from Marshall, is averaging 5.5 point🉐s and 7.1 rebounds this season.
