UNC guard Paxson Wojcik found himself in a precarious situation when he was asked abouඣt a baseless ruওmor alleging Kylie Jenner slid into his DMs in the midst of March Madness.
Wojcik — who has an NIL deal with SKIMS, the clothing brand founded by Jenner’s older sister Kim Kardashian — appeared to entertain being linked to Jenner during a postgame interview after one of the Tar Heels’ NCAA Tournament wins last week.
“What do you have to say about rumors that Kylie slid into your DMs?” the reporter said in a video .
“I can’t speak on it either,” the 23-year-old Wojcik said, smiling. “No comment. Hey, we’re out to LA next week, though.”
That’s when the reporter quipped, “And you know what, the Jenners live in LA.”
Wojcik then looked back at the camera, laughing, and said, “No comment.”
The reporter claimed in the video that “there was a story going on on social media” that Jenner — who is currently dating actor Timothee Chalamet — had messaged Wojcik, however, there is no previous report stating that.
Wojcik’s teammate also said he had “no comment” when asked about it.
On Monday, a manager for the senior guard confirmꦰed that his client had not been in contact with Jenner and called his response ▨inappropriate.
TJ Beisner told TMZ that Wojcik “has not spoken with Kylie” and the UNC guard “now realizes he was inappropriate with his joking.”
Sources close to the situation said Jenner never contaဣcted Wojcik, according to the outlet.
Kardashian revealed the SKIMS All-Stars campaign last month, which featured six basketball players ahead of the 2024 NCAA tournament: Wojcik, UConn’s Donovan Clingan, Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson, Kentucky’s Robert Dillingham, Arizona’s Caleb Love and Duke’s Jared McCain.
Wojcik posted the SKIMS pics on his Instagram page, — the father of Jenner’s 6-year-old daughter Stormi and 2-year-old son Aire — which was taken last October when the rapper during a practice at Dean Smith Center.
