Rep. Jamaal Bowman calls Nikki Haley ‘disgusting’ for writing ‘finish them’ on Israeli bomb
Far-left “Squad” Rep. Jamaal Bowman lashed out Wednesday night at former Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley after she signed an Israeli military shell with the exhortation “Finish them!”
“That is gross, that is disgusting, and Nikki Haley should be ashamed of herself,” Bowman (D-NY), 48, raged on “CNN Newsnight.”
“She is a disgusting human being to do that,” the Bronx and Westchester rep added. “That’s genocidal language and it’s the language that has the American people turning against our government.”
During her visit to the Jewish state, Haley toured the region along border with Gaza, which had been ground zero for Hamas’ bloody rampage on Oct. 7, 2023, and consoled some of the victims.
Haley, the former US ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018, also assured the Mideast ally that Americans stand with Israel.
Bowman, meanwhile, has emerged as one of Israel’s harshest critics in Congress, suggesting that its military was committing genocide in response to Hamas’ attack that killed an estimated 1,200 people, including 33 Americans.
“Why do we continue to support, not just the consistent attacks on Gaza, but the forever wars?” he went on Wednesday. “There are people in our country, their entire lives, me included, it seems like we’re constantly at war with someone, spending trillions, killing millions, while people are suffering and starving and dying right here in our country.”
Haley was accompanied on her trip to Israel by Danny Danon, a member of the Knesset who served as Israeli’s ambassador to the United Nations and the same time Haley repped the US, and posted an image of her signing an Israeli artillery shell.
On the shell, Haley also wrote that “America loves Israel Always.”
Bowman is facing a spirited primary challenge from Westchester County Executiv🎃e George Latimer, who has the backing of outside groups such as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
The primary date is slated for June 25.
This week, Bowman locked down the backing of the Democratic Socialists of America’s New York City chapter.
The group Bowman over a trip he made to Israel and his vote to replenish funding for the Iron Dome missile defense system back in🐭 2021.
In 2023, Politico that Bowman had let his DSA members🌱hip lapse.
But recently, the lawmaker had reached out to the group in an apparent bid to mend fences as he stares down Latimer’s primary challenge.
“US weapons are burning infant children alive,” Bowman contended on CNN.
“We can not send another weapon or another dollar to Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu at this point because they have been moving forward with what the ICJ [International Court of Justice] has called a plausible genocide, and everyone sees it. My district sees it, the country sees it.”
A rep for Haley did not immediately respo🔯nd to a request f✤or comment.
