Xander Schauffele has cemented himself as a major pla⭕yer.
Two months after capturing his first major at the PGA Championship, Schauff꧑ele won the 2024 British Open on Sunday at Royal Troon, storming up the leaderboard for his second career major victory.
🎐The 30-year-old finished 9-under after shooting a 6-under 65 in the final round, two strokes ahead of Justin Rose, who shot a 4-under 67 on Sunday,൲ and Billy Horschel, who shot a 3-under 68 after holding the lead through three rounds.
Schauffele is the first golfer to win two🦩 majors in the same season since Brooks Koepka won the U.S. O𝕴pen and PGA Championship in 2018.
Scha💞uffཧele had top-10 finishes in all four majors this year, having finished in eighth place at the Masters and tied for seventh at the U.S. Open.
