Trump claims Biden ‘never had COVID’ and ‘can’t run our country’ following re-election dropout: ‘Threat to Democracy!’

Former President Donald Trump has accused President Biden of faking his COVID diagnosis ahead of his historic decision to drop out of the election — while calling the oldest-ever president a “threat to Democracy” for staying in office for the rest of his term.

“Biden never had Covid. He is a threat to Democracy!” the Republican presidential nominee in a stream of attacks starting Sunday.

Trump also joined many others in asking how Biden — who announced he had COVID on Wednesday, days before dropping out of his re-election race — could continue in the Oval Office after conceding he was not fit for an🐽other four ye𒁏ars.

“Who is running our Country right now?” . “It’s not Crooked Joe, he has no idea where he is. If he can’t run for office, he can’t run our Country!!!”

The GOP nominee then took a jab at Biden, saying he was “going to wake up and forget that he dropped out of the race today!”

Trump also questioned whether the Republican Party should be “reimbursed for fraud” after spending “time and money” campaigning against Biden — and ripped Democrats for switching candidates at the last minute.

“Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the Fake News Media, knew he was not capable of running for, or being, President? Just askin’?” he wrote.

“The Democrats pick a candidate, Crooked Joe Biden, he loses the Debate badly, then panics, and makes mistake after mistake, is told he can’t win, and decide they will pick another candidate, probably Harris. They stole the race fওrom Biden after he won it in the primaries — A First!

“These people are the real THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!” Trump fired off in another post.

The latest on President Biden’s decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race:

The former president further suggested that the next presidential debate scheduled for Sept. 10 on ABC be broadcast on Fox News instead𒁃.

“My debate with Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the history of the United States, was slated to be broadcast on Fake News ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, sometime in September,” the former president wrote.

“Now that Joe has, not surprisingly, has quit the race, I think the Debate, with whomever the Radical Left Democrats choose, should be held on FoxNews, rather than very biased ABC. Thank you! DJT.”

Earlier in the day, the 45th president called Biden “the worst president in the history of our country” when he first caught wind that he had dropped out of the race.

“𒀰Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to ru🌊n for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was!” Trump wrote.

“He is the worst pre﷽sident in the history of our country. He goes down as the single worst president by far in the history of our country.”

What to know about President Biden's decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race:

Following Sunday’s announcement by Biden, the commander-in-chief shared that Vice President Kamala Harris has his “full support and endorsement” to replace him as the nominee for the Democratic Party.

“Today I꧟ want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this,” 🌸Biden posted on X.

H꧒owever, some Democrats fear that Harris, 59, could further diminish the party’s ch🍃ances against Trump in the Nov. 5 election.

Former President Barack Obama did not endorse Harris — s🍌aying Democrats would pick an unnamed “outstanding nominee” in his first statement on Biden stepping aside from the party’s ticket.

Biden dropped out after Obama and other top Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), privately expressed concerns following🅘 Biden’s dismal June 27 debate performance that the sitting president would lead down-ballot Democrats to a wipeout defeatꦐ.

Meanwhile, Bill and Hillary Clint𝔍on wasted no time throwing their support b🐻ehind Harris.

“We’ve lived through many ups and downs, but nothing has made us more worried for our country than the threat posed by a second Trump te🍌rm,” they said in a join🏅t statement.

“Now is the time to support Kamala Harris and fight with everything we’ve got🦂 to elect her. America’s future depends on it.”

The Democratic Party has only five weeks or so to rally around a new candidate before the Democratic National Convention, which is slated to take place in Chicago from Aug. 19✃ to 22.
