Human leg washes up near famed NYC carousel — two days after parks worker found skull there: cops
A human bone washed up near the iconic Jane’s Carousel along downtown Brooklyn’s waterfront early Wednesday — two days after a parks worker discovered other skeletal remains there, cops said.
Cops spotted the bone — described as a human leg or part of one — along the East River shoreline on Water Street in DUMBO at around 12:20 a.m. when they responded to a 911 call, authorities said.
The chilling find follows the Monday morning diꦓscovery of a skull and bones in the same area, cops said.
Those remains — stumbled upon by a city parks enforcement officer — were covered in clothing, sources said.
A pair of boots were als♔o recovered nearby, a♏ccording to the sources.
The NYPD said it was too early to determine whether the two grisܫly findings are connected.
The city medical examiner’s office is investigating.
