One of the last residences dressed by the late interior designer Lorraine Letendre, whose cšlients included Calvin Klein, has listed ź¦for $15.5 million.
The condo is at Palazzo del Sol on exclusive Fisher Island, just south of Miami Beach. The seller, Peggy Smith, bought the residź§ence for $8.95 million in 2016 ā the same year the 10-story tower, with just 43 residences, was built.
Letendre’s own triplex condo with a plunge pool in Miami sold for $3.4 million inź¦æ 2023, as Gimme Shelter reported at the time. Letendre died of cancer at age 72 in 2022.
Beyond her own perch, Letendre designed the interiors for Klein’s Hamptons home. She also designed the Los Angeles residence of Hollywood director Michael Bay, the “action king” known for films like “Armageddon.”
āLorraine was incredible beyond just decorating,” Smith said. “Have you ever been in the presence of someone who completely sizes you up, including getting into your head and looking at who you are, your lifestyle, family dynamics, needs? Never fussy but very cool. Her spaces just worked. I picked her because even the most difficult, demanding men liked living in her spaces.ā The final result in Smith’s offering is purely elegant.
The home runs 4,956 š„square feet and comes with four bedrooms and 4Ā½ baths.
Set in neutral tones, the dwelling features a living room, a library and a chef’s kitchen, while a pocket door opens to a white oak-paneled study and an aquarium. Perks also include a pivot door that opens to a main bedroom suite with a marble bath, dual dressing rooms and water views.
A separate wing down a gallery hall leads to three more suites with šterraces.
Fisher Island is extremely private, with a marina, 18 tennis courts, a golf course, a beacš h club and seven restaurants.
