18-year-old struck and killed by NYC subway train after fleeing brawl with another teen in station

An 18-year-old man was str൩uck and killed by a Queens subway train Mon🃏day morning after fleeing a fight with another teen inside a station.

The pair were brawling on the platform inside the Elmhurst Ave station in Elmhurst at around 11 a.m. before the tragedy occurredꦗ, police said.

The 18-year-old — whose identity has not been released — ran onto the tracks and into a tunnel to try to escape the 19-year-old man when he reportedly slipped and fell on the tracks, according to cops.

He was then run over by a Jamaica-bound F train. When officers arrived ౠat the scene, they found the teen lying on the tracks unconscious and unresponsive between the Elmhurst Ave. and the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave. stations.

He was pronounced dead at the station.

꧙The 19-year-old wasඣ taken to Elmhurst Hospital with minor injuries.

No charges had been filed by Monday night as p🦋olice continued their i✨nvestigation.

The train strike “severely disrupted” service along the F, M, E and R lines for most of the day as emergency teams and investigators responded, the MTA said.

The disruptions and delays continued into the eveningꩵ rush hour commute, according to updates 🍸from the transit agency.
