Toddler mauled to death by vicious pit bull inside her family’s Newark, NJ, home: cops
A New Jersey toddler was mauled to death by a vicious pit bull inside her family’s home on Tuesday afternoon, cops said.
The 18-month-old girl wandered away from a teenager responsible for watching her when the blood-thirsty dog went after her in🌞side the Second Avenue home in Newark, according to offici♕als and reports.
The tot was rushed to University Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries after suffering “horrific and serious injuries from an apparent canine attack,” the Essex County prosecutor’s office said.
Animal Control rem🌞oved the pit bull along ไwith one other from the home.
Detectives are investigating if the other pooch was also involv🀅ed, .
Locals were left stunned🍸 by the gruesome attack.
“They tell me today that these people have a 18-month-old baby that was ripped apart by a pit bull or ferocious dog,” neighbor Kawhon Jahyne told the station.
“That’s the most horrific thing that can happen to anyone on earth.”
A spokesperson ♚for the Essex County prosecutor said the office has an open investigation into the attack.
