USA Gymnastics prez Li Li Leung, who led the scandal-plagued organization out of bankruptcy, asks $1.25M for NYC home

This is a different kind of flip.

Presi💙dent and CEO of USA Gymnastics, Li Li Leung, and her husband, Christopher Smits, are in New York City for $1.25 million — down slightly from its🐷 $1.29 million ask in June.

They bought the one-bedroom residence, which is at the Southmoor House condop at 230 Central Park South, in 2015 for $1.23 million — slightly over its $1.1 million ask, follꦬowing a bidding war.

The same year, Leung and Smits had returned to the United States after living abroad for around 10 years, where Leung’s accomplishments while working for Zhou Marketing, for a time, included helping the NBA establish itself in China.

As president and CEO of USA Gymnastics, Leung coordinated a settlement with its sexual abuse victims. She also created an all-female executive team, according to reports, and led the scandal-plagued company out of ꦚbankruptcy. In 2019, she was an NBA exec w🥃hen she left to become president and CEO of USA Gymnastics.

Leung i꧂s also a former gymnast. She was 7 when 🙈she started in the sport.

Leung says she bought this residence for its convenient loca♛tion near work, when she was with the NBA. A📖nd now, with her role in the gymnastics world, she finds herself traveling often.

“I am unable to use the space as much, but know that a future buyer will love the iconic location and beautiful interiors as much as I did,” she said.
