Damar Hamlin grabbed his first NFL interception during the Bills’ dismantling of the Jaguars on Monday to the delight of football fans everywhere.Ā

The feel-good story added another chapter on Monday night when he picked off Trevoš r Lawrence for his first career interception in the secondź©µ quarter.
“There is no words for it, man. I’m still processing it,” Hamlin said on the ESPN broadcast after the Bills’ 47-10 win. “I was able to take it one day at a time, just my teammate, my coaches, the whole entire Bills organization were always there supporting me just like they are now. I’m just truly, thankful, thankful, thankful that I’m a Buffalo Bill.”
Hamlin returned the pick 19 yards before he wasš tackled to the groundš¬ as the crowd at Highmark Stadium roared.
“ESPN what’s the do!!! It’s Threeski man. Monday Night Football,” Hamilin said in a video post for ESPN’s social media. “First interception, what better platform to do it man, Much love. We 3-0, let’s keep going.”
During a halftime interview with ESPNās Laura Rutledge, Bills head coach Sean McDermott called the moment āamazing.”

The Bills made the most of the intļ·ŗerceptionšŗ as well, scoring on the ensuing drive to take a 27-3 lead.

Medical personnel rushedš to his aid and administered CPR on the field, and Hamlin was taken to a local hospital, where he spent more than a week.Ā

In an interview with The Post ahead of his November return to Cincinnati, where thź§e scary incident occurred, Hamlin expressed gratitude just to be alive.
āMan, Iām thankful for life. Honestly, Iām thankful to wake up, brush my teeth, have a meal. Take 10 deep breaths. Iām thankful for everything,ā Hamlin said. āLife is bigger than just ball for me and always will be until the dašy that I go, but to be able to do what I do at the highest level, Iām an extra level of thankful, you know.
