Embattled Adams officials David Banks, Sheena Wright to marry this weekend as federal corruption probe rocks City Hall: sources

For better or worse.

Two top Adams administration officials are finally getting hitched — raising speculation they’re tying the knot to avoid taking the stand.

Outgoing NYC Schools Chancellor David Banks and his longtime love, First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, quietly planned a weekend wedding on Martha’s Vineyard — amid an ongoing federal corruption investigation swirling around Mayor Eric Adams’ administration, The Post has learned.

“They’re definitely getting married,”ౠ sai🌊d a source close to the chancellor’s office.

Banks and Wright — two of Mayor Adams’ top aides — were rumored to be planning a wedding on the riౠtzy Massachusetts island during the summer of 2023 but never seౠaled the deal, and they’ve been tightlipped about their marriage plans since.

Earlier this month, Wright’s elegant West 143rd Street home in Harlem was raided, and her phone was seized. She lives there with Banks, who al♌so has a Queens home, which was raided by FBI agents, too. His phone was seized as well.

The raids’ precise purpose remains unclear, but Adams was indicted Thursday on federal wire fraud and bribery charges. He is 🧜the first sitting Big Apple mayor to 💛be indicted by a grand jury.

In fe🐻deral criminal cases, spouses can’t be for💮ced to testify against each other.

Jeff Greco, a Manhattan-based criminal defense lawyer and former prosecutor, said he believes the longtime couple finally got married on the advice of their lawyers to score “spousal immunity” — which he believes will “absolutely frustrate🍰” the sweeping federal probe.

“There’s no doubt that they understand the optics of this, but the legal benefit far outweighs the public optics,” he said.

Banks popped the question two years ago after a long courtshꦍip.

“It only to🉐ok me 10 years [to propose],” interview. “We have been talking about this for a while and now living in Harlem together, and I said it’sꦬ time.

“We’ve both done this before, so just taking our time, no rush. We’ve got a great relationship, great partnership.”

At a press conference on Wednesday announcing Melissa Aviles-Ramos as Bank🐲s’ successor as chancellor effective in January, Banks praised his fiancé Wright and affect🌟ionately kissed her multiple times on the lips.

While Banks and Wright were planning t♏o tie the knot Saturday,&ꦡnbsp;Adams on Saturday attended an event at a Queens church, and his reps said he plans to remain in the Big Apple throughout the weekend.

The mayor’s office declined to comment on the marriage, and the city’s Department of Education did not return messages.

An ℱextraordinary five-count indictment unsealed Thursday accused the under-fire Adams of taking a slew of improper giဣfts from Turkish officials and businesspeople — including $123,000 in free hotel stays and free, or deeply discounted, flights.

He also fraudulently obtained $10 million in pub♉lic campaign funds, ꦇfederal prosecutors allege.

In exchange, Adams did favors for his patrons — including pressuring city officials to waive fire inspections and push through approval for the sprawling Turkish Consulate in Manhattan, according to the indictment

Hizzoner pleaded not guiꦗlty to all charges on Friday.
