29-year-old mother stabbed to death inside NYC deli during broad-daylight feud
A 29-year-old mother was stabbed to death by a woman in a Bronx bodega during a broad-daylight feud on Thursday, police a𒉰nd witnesses said.
Gwendolyn Guyton was inside Jose Mini Market Inc. on Southern Boꦕulevard and East 149th Street when a rival stormed in, fought with her and then plunged a knife in her neck and torso multiple times around 3:15 p.m., accordiꦅng to cops and witnesses.
A bodega work♛er hopelessly tried to stop the bloods🌄hed.
“I was trying to save the girl and at the same time to get her out of the store before she got stabbed,” said Alex, who works inside the Longwood deli.
“I was trying to get them out when they were fighting, when they were fistfighting. But when I saw the knife, I was trying to help…the victim.”
Alex and a coworker held Guyton’s wounded body while they waited for medics to arrive.
Witne🀅ss Ma🐈rio Marrero stumbled across the grisly scene outside the store.
“She was lying down in front of the store,” said Marrero. “She was just lying down, just full of blood. It was all over her body.”
Guyton was rushed t꧅o Lincoln Medical Center but could not be saved.
Her f🥃emale killer fled the store on a white bike and has yet to be c😼aught, police said.
Local resident Shelby Miller said Guyton often shopped❀ at the bodega for cigarettes and is survived by a son.
“She didn’t deserve that,” Miller said. “Whatever she done, nobody deserves to be killed like that.”
