Passerby saves woman trapped in sinking car after she drove into Texas canal

A gꦅood Samaritan leaped into 🎃a Texas irrigation canal to save a woman stuck in her sinking car.

The driver, 49-year-old woman, was traveling southeast in the city of Electra꧑ when she lost control of her vehicle.

She skidded sideways off the road and plummetܫed into the South Side Canal, .

The vehicle was submerged in the canal, which had moving water that could have jostled her vehicle with the current. Instead, a man working nearby came to her reღscue.

The driver had broken her window open and was waving her arm as she shouted for help. The stranger noti🀅ced her and waded into the canal, first calming her down the best he could before helping her back to shore.

Her vehicle was later recovered from the lake covered in mud, dents, and other damage including a n🔯early caved-in windshield.

Officials said that if the stranger hadn’t stepped in to help, the driver could have died.
