Phony NYC repairmen duct-tape man’s hands in daring home invasion as they steal safe holding $30K: cops
A pair of ph🍎ony repairmen robbed a Bronx man at knifepoint and duct-taped h𒊎is hands in his own home – making off with a safe holding $30,000, authorities said.
The crooks posed as handymen dispatched to repair a leak when they showed up at the apartment at Courtlandt Avenue and Eas💞t 🎐150th Street in Mott Haven around 1 p.m. Sept. 20, cops said.
The trust𝄹ing victim, a 43-year-old man, let them insi꧂de, police said.
Then the pair turned on him –🐟 one of them holding a knife against his throat while another bound his hands with duct tape, authorities said.
They used a crowbar to force their way into a room, and stole a safe holding $30,00𝔉0, an iPad and a passport, po🍸lice said.
The suspects🌠🐠 fled on foot and had not been caught by Monday.
Cops have released surveillance images of the p💃air inside the building talking on phones, as well as walking on the sidewalk.
