Bicyclist, 66, fatally struck by pickup truck in Bronx: cops

A 66-year-꧒old bicycli🌳st was fatally struck by a pickup truck in The Bronx, police said.

The deadly collision occurred shortly before 12 p.m. Saturday🐈 at the intersection of Westchester and Commonwealth avenues, authoritie๊s said.

EMS brought the victim to Jacobi Medica𝔍l Center, wh✅ere he was pronounced dead, cops said.

The 24-yearꦰ-old driver of the pickup remained at the scene.

No criminalitꦏy is suspected at this time, authorities said.

Police said the man was operating a GMC pickup truck northbound on Commonwealth Avenue “when he collided” with the bicyclist, who was pedaling eastbound on Westchester Avenue.

“The motorist remained on the scene. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing,” an NYPD spokesperson told The Post Saturday afternoon.
