Saquon Barkley torments Giants with touchdown as boos rain down in MetLife Stadium return

Former Giants running back Saquon Barkley responded to boos every time he touched the ball in his return to MetLife Stadium on Sunday with a long rushing burst and a shorℱt touchdown in the second quarter to open the scoring for the Eagles.

The two-time Pro Bowler was booed heavily before Philadelphia’s first offensive possession, and he was held to 17 yards on six carries in the first quarter.

But Barkley, who signed a three-year contract w🉐orth $37.75 million in free agency, broke a 55-yard run down the left sideline in the second quarter before scoring his sixth touchdown of the season (and fifth on the ground) from 3 yards up the middle with 8:58 left before halftime.

The Giants, meanwhile, punted on each of their first six possessions and attempted five rushes for just 9 yards during that s✤pan as they trailed 14-0 ♉late in the second quarter.

The Eagles eventually won, 28-3.
