Passenger put on blast for this ‘inconsiderate’ airplane faux pas: ‘Does she not know?’

Call it mane-spreading.

Having a space-invading neighbor seems part and parcel in the friendly skies nowadays. This time, a female passenger ruined her fellow flyer’s inflight entertainment sesh by obscuring his screen with her hair, as detailed in taking off online.

“I think people just don’t like inconsiderate people on flights who don’t respect each other’s already very limited space,” the Reddit — who goes by @thekingofyoutube on the platform — told .

The picture, taken on a JetBlue flight to Las Vegas Nevada, depicts a woman draping her hair over the back of her seat, blocking the passenger’s video monitor.

The Redditor explained that she put his screen in hairplane mode several times toward the end of the flight.

Despite this space invasion, the man said he “wasn’t too bothered” since he was not watching anything, but decided to photograph the bad air day nonetheless because he thought it was “quite interesting.”

The hair draped over the man's screen.
“I mean, does she not know that her hair is on the back of the seat and thus covering my screen?” spluttered the Redditor while describing the space invader (pictured). Reddit/u/thekingofyoutube

However, the Redditor said the curly curtain call would’ve been “annoying” had he been trying to enjoy some inflight entertainment, declaring: “I mean, does she not know that her hair is on the back of the seat and thus covering my screen?”

“Or does she know that she’s doing it and just doesn’t care?” added the poster who blamed the obstruction on a decline in airplane etiquette over the COVID pandemic.

Viewers were similarly appalled that the flyer “locked” his screen with many offering suggestions on how to get even.

“Start making braids, if she turns say you were bored,” advised one armchair air expert, while another wrote, “I was going to suggest learning to tie knots. YouTube has many tutorials. And there are many strands to knot…”

“Have you told her? People are dumb and won’t notice people around them unless spoken to,” said a third.

One Reddit user claimed that the flyer should take a multi-step approach, instructing the passenger to request that she move her hair, and if that doesn’t work, a flight attendant should be enlisted to make her.

Failing that, “pull on the hair really hard and make truck honking noises,” suggested the jokester.

Some even advised the flyer to put gum in the offender’s hair to ameliorate the hairy situation.

In 2020, a female passenger who also got lock-blocked on a plane filmed herself sticking chewed-up gum in the alleged space invader’s bangs.

She then proceeded to trim the hair w🌠ith nail clippers, put a lollipop in it, and dunk the strands in a cup off coffee.

However, viewers suspected that the stunt was “staged,” arguing that the alleged hair hellion would’ve noticed all that stuff getting done to her mane.
