Nikki Bella (aka Nikki Garcia) and Artem Chigvintsev have reportedly settled their divorce.
The former WWE wrestler and the “Dancing with the Stars” alum went into mediation earlier this month and agreed upon a divorce settlement, reported on Wednesday, citing court documents.
Sources told the outlet that Bella, 40, and Chigvintsev, 42, were motivated by how expensive the divorce process had become and found the entire ordeal “emotionally draining.”
The couple are not getting along, the insiders added while also noting that they are “cooperating with one another and their relationship is very much a work in progress.”
Sources also said the pair are eager to “move on with their lives without each other.”
The terms of Bella and Chigvintsev’s divorce settlement were not immediately clear. A judge previously ordered the estranged spouses to share custody of their four-year-old son, Matteo.
The settlement comes two weeks before they were set to appear in court and nearly three months after Chigvintsev was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence following an incident at the couple’s Napa, Calif., home.
The dance pro was not charged by the Napa County District Attorney.
âThe decision to not file charges against Mr. Chigvintsev was made after a thorough review of the criminal investigation and careful evaluation of the evidence presented to the DAâs Office,â spoðkesperson for Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley told The Post.
Chigvintsev later denied the accusðations and alleged Bella attacked him.
In a statement given to The Post at the time on Chigvintsevâs behalf by his lawyer, Ilona Antonyan, the dancer insisted thaât âhe was not the primary aggressor.â
Bella filed for divorce in Sept. In her petition, the “Total Divas” star asked that the court not grant Chigvintsev spousal support and give her sole custody of their son.
The “DWTS” vet countered days later with his own petition, in which he requested alimony from Bella, joint custody of their child âand also asked that his wife pay his legal fðĨees.
Shortly after Bella filed for divorce, the exes got competing restraining orders against one another, each claiming the other was the aggressor in their Aug. 29 domestic dispute. However, online documents viewed by The Post show they’ve agreed to dismiss those restraining orders.
It was only days before the quarrel that they celebrated their second wedding anniversary, which both Bella and Chigvintsev gushed about on social media.
Yet the coupleâs relationship had reportedly been âvolatileâ for years. Friends of Bella and Chigvintsev told that there wereāē instanceï·―s of alleged verbal abuse in the past.
The dancer and the WWE Diva met when Bella competed on âDancing with the Starsâ in 2017. They officially became a couple in 2019 and married three years later iân a lavish wedding ceremony in Parisð.
