Oscars 2025: Full list of nominees and winners

And the Oscar goes to /p>

The 97th annual Academy Awards were hosted by Conan O’Brien at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

The biggest movie stars in Tinseltown flocked to the A-list affair on Sunday, March 2, marking the end of the 2025 awards season.

Going into the show, Zoe Saldaña and Selena Gomez’s “Emilia Pérezâ€?had earned the most nominations with 13. The 2024 flick, which also features the controversial star Karla Sofía Gascón, set the record for the most-nominated non-English language film.

All eyes were set on Demi Moore, who, for the first time in her decadeslong career, was nominated to win a Best Actress Academy Award for her role in “The Substance.”

But she was up against some stiff competition â€?and Mikey Madison (“Anora”) took the win in a major Oscars upset.

“A Complete Unknown,” “The Substance,” “The Brutalist,” “Wicked,” “Anora,” “Conclave,” “Emilia Pérezâ€?and more vied for the ultimate prize â€?nbsp;the coveted Best Picture award, which also went to “Anora.”

The award show came with its share of snubs, too. Angelina Jolie for “Maria,â€?Nicole Kidman for “Babygirl,â€?Pamela Anderson for “The Last Showgirlâ€?and Denzel Washington for “Gladiator II” are just some of the stars who were shockingly overlooked for 2025 Academy Awards nods.
