just announced he’s heading out on his first North American headlining tour since 2018.
As of now, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is slated to perform at nine theaters, performing arts centers, amphitheaters and casinos this September.
While on the brief run, he’s scheduled to headline five New York and New Jersey shows.
First, the 76-year-old singer/guitarist/bassist/keyboardist drops into Port Chester, NY’s on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
After that, the former Traffic/Spencer Davis Group/Blind Faith frontman will sling the hits at Red Bank, NJ’s on Friday, Sept. 19, Morristown, NJ’s on Wednesday, Sept. 24, Atlantic City, NJ’s and, finally, Verona, NY’s on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Special guest of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will join him for his Sept. 20 gig in Vienna, VA.
In addition to the tour, Winwood has a few other exciting performances in the works. Prior to the tour, he’ll perform alongside Jeff Lynne’s ELO, The Doobie Brothers and Dhani Harrison at London’s as part of the annual British Summer Time concert series on July 13. Two months later, the “Low Spark of High Heeled Boys” singer will lend his talents to the on Sept. 12-13 in Bridgeport, CT.
