White House reporter mocked by lefty peers for asking about Trump’s secret to looking ‘healthier than ever’

A conservative White House reporter was mocked after she asked about President Trump’s secret to looking “healthier than ever” — but the journalist insists the American people would want his tips.

Cara Castronuova, a former professional boxer and credential reporter from LindellTV, threw the softball question to Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt at the closing of Friday’s daily press briefing.

“President Trump looks healthier than ever before. I’m sure everybody in this room could agree,” Castronuova began.

“Is he working out with Bobby Kennedy and is he eating less McDonald’s?,” she then asked Leavitt, who chuckled at the remarks.

The press secretary responded that she “can confirm the president is in very good shape” as Castronuova’s lefty peers were left astonished.

Video of the interaction shows two stone-faced White House reporters frowning and staring dead-eyed off into the distance after the exchange.

Online trolls were then quick to blast the two-time Gold Glove-winning boxer and former celebrity trainer.

“And they say journalism is dead,” Jon Ralston, CEO of news outlet the Nevada Independent,

“This isn’t journalism, it is devotion,” echoed.

“A+ stuff. No Notes,” ex-CNN talking head Chris Cilliza also .

Several more X users made dramatic comparisons to the reporting coverage in Kim Jong Un’s despotic regime in North Korea and accused Castronuova of being a “propagandist.”

However, Castronuova stood by her question, insisting to The Post that whether you “love him or hate him, the eyes don’t deceive.”

The broadcaster also insisted that it is a question that many Americans — particularly those over 65 — would be interested in.

“I wanted to genuinely ask on behalf of the American people the President’s new fitness and diet regime,” Castronuova said.

“He lost weight, looks buffer, and appears healthier than he did when he came into office eight years ago! I think it’s inspirational to Americans over the age of 65 that it’s never too late to start losing weight and taking control of your health,” she continued.

“I think the American people over 65 would love some tips directly from the president.”

Meanwhile, her former co-host came to her defense, saying it was harmless, good fun.

“It’s Friday afternoon, it’s the last question, a little levity in the room,” John Tabacco, host of said of the interaction.

“Cara is the epitome of the new media transparency Trump has ushered into the White House,” Tabacco added in reference to his girlfriend and former co-host.
