Ranking the top 10 edge rushers in the 2025 NFL Draft

The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy gives his top 10 edge rushers in this year’s NFL draft, based on evaluations and conversations with people around the league:

1. Abdul Carter, Penn State, 6-4, 250

Game wrecker often compared to Micah Parsons. Explosive first step and deep pass rush bag. NCAA-leading 23.5 tackles for loss (12.5 sacks) in first season after move from off-ball linebacker. Doctors advised against surgery for stress fracture in right foot. Arrested for assaulting truck driver in 2024.

2. Mykel Williams, Georgia, 6-5, 260

Coming off underwhelming five-sack season while playing through season-long ankle sprain. “Battering rampass rusher who bends the edge. Needs alternative moves to his go-to spin. Elite closing burst behind line of scrimmage. Alignment versatility. Relatively low snap count. Big-game performer.

3. Mike Green, Marshall, 6-3, 251

Dominant pass rusher (NCAA-best 17 sacks) and edge-setting run-stopper (No. 2 with 22.5 tackles for loss) versus mediocre competition. Goes for the ball on big hits. Lacks prototypical size but above-average want-to hustle. Accused of sexual assault twice and denies both (no charges filed).
