The are trying something new.
Now that the Aaron Rodgers-Robert Saleh era is officially over, the Justin Fields-Aaron Glenn one can begin.
“I think I’m progressing and getting better each and every year, and I’m excited to get things rolling this year,” Fields, who went 4-2 as the Steelers starter in 2024, said.
In his inaugural Jets season, Fields, 26, will be joined by returning stars Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner and Jamien Sherwood as well as recent acquisitions Brandon Stephens, Andre Cisco, Kris Boyd, and Derrick Nnadi and draftees Armand Membou, Mason Taylor, Azareye’h Thomas and Malachi Moore.
“[These guys are] tough, physical, violent, aggressive, a resilient attitude,” Glenn said, referring to his 2025 draft class. “If we continue to get guys like that, you’ll start to see the brand show up on the grass.”
And, if things go according to plan, the team will hopefully improve on their dismal 5-12 2024 season and maybe, just maybe, advance to the playoffs for the first time since 2011.
In order to make that happen, they’ll have to stop recently-announced tough opponents like Fields’ former in the home opener at MetLife Stadium on Sept. 7. Other notable home contests include showdowns with the (Sept. 14), (Oct. 5) and (Dec. 28).
Also, of note, on Sunday, Oct. 12, Gang Green heads overseas to play the at London, GB’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And, if you want to be there, on Vivid Seats.
