The have had a busy offseason.
After a dismal 4-13 season🅺, the team parted ways with head coach Antonio Pierce, signed Pete Carroll to take his place and began retooling the roster.
Most notably, the Raiders traded for S🌱eahawks quarterback Geno Smith. Then, they signed Darnay Holmes, Eric Stokes, Elandon Roberts, Jeremy Chinn, Malcolm Koonce and Alex Cappa.
To cap it all off, the Raiders drafted running back Ashton Jeanty, wide receiver Jack Bech and backup quarter൩backs Tommy Mellott and Cam Miller to give the team extra depth at the position.
“We won four games last year, and we’ve got to be realistic with that,” Raiders GM John Spytek said. “We’ve got a lot of really good young players, I think. We’ve got some good veteran players…and to me that’s the biggest thing is like some guys that will do the harder thing longer than the person across from them, and we’ll be in a good spot.”
Although it looks like the Raiders will be in a good spot, a trip to the postseason won’t be a walk in the park in 2025.
One look at the recently released schedule and it’s clear the team will have their work cut out for them.
