Then I only used the Charlotte Tilbury foundation to assess the wealth of makeup primers I had stashed in my makeup drawer.

• : I wanted to love this primer because it contains two ingredients I swear by — hyaluronic acid and niacinamide — but I found its end formulation too sticky and its packaging too large and bulky. The price point is somewhat high as well, and I’d rather purchase a foundation (or two) for the same price.
• : I absolutely *love* this brand but I felt like the formulation didn’t mask the appearance of pores or really make any difference to my skin. It also has a somewhat greasy texture, though if blended well, it somewhat absorbs into the skin.
• : I love how this contains SPF in its formulation, but I thought the less-than-$15 provided sufficient sun protection — and is just as cosmetically elegant.
